‘RISING STAR AWARDS’ FOR LEADERSHIP; RECIPIENTS GET
STARS NAMED AFTER THEM
SLIPPERY
ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University has presented 10 Rising
Star Awards to students, student groups and faculty for
exemplifying leadership development in 2003-2004.
A
star was named for each award recipient and recorded in the
Universal Star catalogue courtesy of AVI Foodsystems, the campus
dining services contractor. Stars can be found at

SRU
created the annual award this year to honor those who made
contributions to bettering campus life. Dr. Christopher Cole,
director of student organizations, presented the awards April 26
during a ceremony attended by 150 in Boozel Dinning
Hall.
