FUN FOR THE
WHOLE FAMILY AWAITS AT KALEIDOSCOPE,
SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY’S 3rd ANNUAL ARTS
FESTIVAL APRIL 18-28
SLIPPERY
ROCK, Pa. – Live music, balloon sculpturing, face painting,
crafts, pottery demonstrations and a Shakespeare for Kids
production headline the children’s activities at
Kaleidoscope, Slippery Rock University’s arts festival April
18-28.
All
children’s fair events will be held 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
April 24, outside Russell Wright Alumni
House.
Now
in its third year, Kaleidoscope includes a number of events for
adults throughout its11-day run.

Mei Zhong, Chinese opera singer, 8 p.m.
April 20, Swope Recital Hall. Tickets $5 for general admission; $3
for students.

Simple Gifts takes the stage at 8 p.m.
April 24 in Swope Music Hall. This rural Pennsylvania-based duo
performs with violins, mandolin, hammered dulcimer and guitar plus
unusual instruments such as the bowed psaltery. Tickets are $5;
students, $3.
Other events
include a flute concert, symphony, jazz and dance concerts, and
additional events of theater and an outdoor sculpture exhibition,
quilt show and a fiber arts exhibit at Gallery 164 Bookstore on
