University adds 60 open parking spaces
The closing of Kraus Hall, while sad for some former residents, is bringing a welcome benefit to the Slippery Rock University community - more parking. The 60 spaces, formerly reserved for Kraus residents, have been converted to open parking for students, commuters, faculty and staff. Vehicles parking at Kraus must display a valid University parking sticker or they will be ticketed.
There are two parking lots adjacent to Kraus. The lot beside Kraus includes 27 spaces, plus two handicapped spaces. The rear lot includes 30 spaces, plus one handicapped, said Windy Stafford, assistant chief of University Police.
Slippery Rock University is Pennsylvania's premier public residential university. Slippery Rock University provides students with a comprehensive learning experience that intentionally combines academic instruction with enhanced educational and learning opportunities that make a positive difference in their lives.
