SRU’S NORTH HILLS CENTER TO HOST
OPEN HOUSE ON PLANNED SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM
SLIPPERY
ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University’s North Hills
Center on Route 910 in Wexford will hold its last open house of the
academic year from 4 to 6 p.m. May 13. Faculty will be on hand to
discuss educational programs, including a possible new offering in
social work.
Designed
for community college transfers, all of the required social work
classes would be available on a sequential schedule in the evening,
beginning in summer 2004. By taking two courses each semester
(year-round), students could complete the 42 to 45 social work
credits in two years, North Hills Center Coordinator Connie Bell
says.
Graduate
programs at the North Hills Center include the Environmental
Education Certificate, Principal Preparation Program, Special
Education and Professional Writing. Degree completion in elementary
education is also available.
Information,
along with refreshments, will be presented during the open house.
North Hills Center is at Waterfront Corporate Park Suite 101, on
Route 910. Telephone: 724-933-8165.
