SRU HONORS 41 FACULTY FOR SERVICE, DEDICATION TO HIGHER EDUCATION

           SLIPPERY ROCK. – Slippery Rock University Interim President Robert Smith paid honor to more than 40 university faculty recently citing them for their untiring efforts on behalf of students and their dedication to higher education.

          Smith credited each with bringing new perspectives and new ideas to the classroom, saying students benefit from the diversity of teaching styles and the expertise each member of the faculty brings to the classroom.

          Service pins were awarded those in the 10-, 15- and 20-year category, while medallions, suitable for wearing at official university functions such as Academic Honors Convocation and commencement where presented those with 25 years service. Plaques were presented those in the 30- and 35-year categories.
