Three SRU art majors make 'Grade A' at Fe Arts Gallery show

Art created by three Slippery Rock University art majors will be included in the Grade A exhibition being featured at the Fe Arts Gallery, 4102 Butler St., Pittsburgh.

The Friday through July 10 show is presenting "a selection of choice cuts from graduating college seniors."

The Grade A display features a painting by SRU's Marlee Yamnitsky, an art major from Butler, and sculptures created by Corey Manfull, an art major from Kensington, Ohio, and Chris Walnoha, a May art graduate from Imperial.

"We created the works as part of our art class studies at Slippery Rock University," said Yamnitsky. The show's opening reception is at 7 p.m. Friday. A closing reception, featuring the musical talent of area high school students, is at 7 p.m. July 10.

Works by art seniors at Carnegie Mellon University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and West Virginia University are also included in the 16-person show.
