Unisource Worldwide, Inc., names SRU graduate president

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -Unisource Worldwide, Inc., a leading distributor of paper, packaging and facility supplies in North America, has promoted Ken Winterhalter, a 1986 Slippery Rock University finance graduate, to president of the company's paper business segment. The company is based in Norcross, Ga.

           Winterhalter most recently served as senior vice president of sales in paper and previously served as vice president for strategic development. He reports directly to Al Dragone, Unisource chief executive officer.

           Winterhalter joined Unisource in 1994 as sales manager in Pittsburgh. He has served in several key leadership roles in national accounts, strategic development and Websource. He earned his master's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

           Prior to joining Unisource, he worked in the banking industry.

           Unisource's paper businesses include Websource, a paper broker with expertise in servicing the commercial printing Web market; Rollsource, the industry leader in the specialized converting of commercial printing paper for distribution in the business forms and direct mail industries; PaperPlus, Unisource's specialty local retail store concept servicing small commercial and quick printers in select markets; and graphic communications, a full-service paper and print brokerage that services a wide variety of regional, national and international companies.
