SRU PLANS ‘BUT HE NEVER HIT
ME…’ DEALING WITH BUILDING HEALTHY
RELATIONSHIPS
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.
– Author and licensed marriage and family therapist Dr. Jill
Murray will offer “But He Never Hit Me…” dealing
with building healthy relationships through personal empowerment
when she visits Slippery Rock University at 7 p.m. Sept.
27.
The free lecture,
set for Eisenberg Classroom Building, is sponsored by SRU’s
Division of Student Life, the university’s Bridge Project,
VOICe, the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, State Rep. Frank
LaGrotta and Sprint.
Murray is a
nationally recognized expert in the field of domestic violence as
well as a leading internationally recognize expert in teen dating
violence and has been seen on ABC’s 20/20, Oprah, Good
Morning America Weekend Edition and Montel, among
others.
Her books include
“But I Love Him,” and “Destructive
Relationships” and her latest work “But He Never Hit
Me” is due out soon.
She earned
her bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA, her
master’s degree and her doctorate degree in psychology from
the American Behavioral Studies Institute. Her certificate of
clinical specialization in the field of intergenerational
psychotherapy and also diagnosis assessment, and the treatment of
sexual disorders.
