Slippery Rock University Interim President Robert Smith will formally open the university’s academic year and update the campus on future plans and programs at 12:30 p.m. Thursday [Sept. 4] as part of the traditional Faculty Assembly.

The event will be held in Swope Music Hall and include an update on a number of campus projects and programs already under way. All new faculty (approximately 40) will also be introduced.
