In tandem with national changes, SRU is transitioning the Athletic Training BS program to a Master of Science degree. As a result, the current undergraduate program in Athletic Training will be discontinued. After the start of Fall 2016, no new students will be admitted to pursue the undergraduate program.

The Slippery Rock University Athletic Training Program has received approval from the State System Board of Governors to transition the current undergraduate program to a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training beginning summer 2018. The final class of undergraduate students must be enrolled at Slippery Rock University by fall 2016, after which no additional undergraduate Athletic Training majors will be admitted.
