Internships

Gaining work experience prior to obtaining a job is increasingly popular according to prospective employers. Students with paid or unpaid internship have a higher probability of getting good positions with technology companies.

The Department of Computer Science actively helps student obtain internship. During an internship, the student can learn more about the company while obtaining real-life work experience and soft skills. It gives the student an opportunity to put into practice the knowledge that has been gained in academic classes. Most of internships are paid. Majority of the students that have done internships have ended up being hired by the respective companies.

Our students have done and continue to do internships with companies such as the Pirates Baseball Club, UPMC, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, Highjump Software, BNY Mellon, Quest Software, Ansaldo, to name a few.
