Are you interested in learning how to utilize research and practical experiences to train clients safely and effectively so that they can excel in sport and daily activities? If you are currently studying Physical Education, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Therapeutic Recreation, or just have an interest in strength and conditioning, the Strength and Conditioning Association (abbreviated SACA) would be a great club for you to join. The club's primary objective is to assist students in pursuing certification (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) and career opportunities related to the strength and conditioning field through different educational and exercise experiences. Students are invited to our monthly meetings to discuss career topics, learn about applicable certifications through national organizations, listen to different speakers in the field, explore research in the field, apply the research to exercise-related experiences, and travel to conferences. It is our goal that you will be able to use what you learn through SACA to develop as a strength and conditioning professional, which includes jobs such as strength and conditioning coaches, personal trainers, exercise physiologists, athletic trainers, researchers, educators, sport coaches, physical therapists, occupational therapists, business owners, exercise instructors, and fitness directors.
