Current Student Scholarship/Award Recipients
The Exercise Science Program is dedicated to helping students be successful during their time at SRU, as well as when they graduate. Students gain hands-on experience in clinical settings, as well as learn to think critically and become problem-solvers. Many of the students participate in faculty-led undergraduate research. As a result, many of our students have been recognized with awards and scholarships.

"I could not be more grateful to have called Slippery Rock University my home for 4 years, and now for a lifetime as my alma mater. As a now practicing Physician Assistant, I recognize and appreciate the education I received from the Exercise Science Department, as well as the relationships I formed along the way. I learned many things during my 4 years at Slippery Rock University, the most significant being the importance of communicating with and relating to others. With many opportunities available for hands-on learning, I was able put into practice what I was taught in the classroom, setting me up for success as I pursued my graduate degree and my career in medicine. It was Slippery Rock University who taught, shared, and helped me develop the necessary skills, tools, and disciplines I now use today. "Thank you" will never be enough to express how much the University and faculty mean to me.
