Bio for Joseph F. Robare, DrPH, MS, RD, LDN

Nutrition and chronic disease prevention and maternal and child health in federal nutrition assistance programs.
Dr. Robare has DrPH in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh, a MS in Nutrition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a BS in Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts, and a Registered Dietitians License through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Currently he is an Associate Professor and MPH Program Director at SRU. Previously he conducted research at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Public Health that focused on chronic disease management and prevention in older adults. Most recently he was a Social Science Research Analyst/Project Officer for the United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service, Office of Policy Support where he designed and managed national research studies evaluating federal nutrition programs such as WIC, CACFP and the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. He currently serves on dissertation committees at Walden University, School of Health Sciences.
