Students interested in pursuing this program should note the following guidelines established by LECOM School of Pharmacy:
LECOM School of Pharmacy strongly recommends that applicants take the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) before applying to LECOM.
LECOM School of Pharmacy will not accept advanced placement credit for prerequisite courses, including science and mathematics courses, in Phase I of the program, nor will LECOM accept credit given for CLEP courses.
Students who have taken Phase I prerequisite courses in high school must supplement each course with an additional, higher level course in the same discipline.
Students must be enrolled full-time at SRU, and all Phase I courses must be completed during four consecutive semesters. No Phase I courses may be taken during the summer. None of the Phase I courses can be taken on a pass/fail basis. The LECOM School of Pharmacy will not accept any student who has repeated courses in Phase I of the Program.
Students must demonstrate that they can handle a full course load. Therefore, students should not withdraw from any prerequisite Phase I course which would result in a reduction of their course load.
If applying through the 2+3 Accelerated Pharmacy Program, the LECOM School of Pharmacy is the student’s first choice. If the student is accepted into the LECOM program, the student should not accept an offer from another institution.
LECOM School of Pharmacy will accept applications only from U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
LECOM School of Pharmacy will not accept transfer students into Phase I of the program.
The Doctor of Pharmacy Degree will be conferred upon successful completion of Phase I and Phase II of the program, both didactic and clinical, and recommendation by both the faculty and administration of LECOM School of Pharmacy.
