Accreditation means that the program meets standards of excellence in providing you a specific knowledge and skills you need for your career. Strict standards of high quality must be proven for a program to be accredited.
The Slippery Rock University undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). CAATE is sponsored by the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
The Exercise Science Program at SRU is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the largest programmatic accreditor in the health sciences field.
