On April 19, 2011, Slippery Rock University launched Exercise is Medicine on Campus - Physical Activity for Wellness

In June 2010, several SRU Exercise Science faculty joined U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, M.D. on a community walk during the ACSM Inaugural Exercise is Medicine World Congress in Baltimore, Maryland.
