Brooker Scholarship
Purpose: To reward academic excellence in the major of Exercise Science
Criteria: SRU Exercise Science major who has earned 90 semester hours and has the highest QPA in the major/overall. The Exercise Science Scholarship Committee will request an overall/major QPA list to base their decision. This award is given during the spring semester and the recipient will be invited to the Spring Awards Luncheon.

Shelia I. Drohan Scholarship
Purpose: Awarded to students majoring in Exercise Science who are committed to excellence in fitness and exercise.
Criteria: Full time SRU student, a minimum of 3.25 QPA, has been accepted into the Exercise Science major and demonstrates financial need. Continued enrollment in the Exercise Science degree program is required. The award may be renewed for a maximum of three years. This award is given during the spring semester and the recipient will be invited to the Spring Awards Luncheon.

Dr. Bob Murray Scholarship

Fred and Mary Roby Scholarship (“Roby Scholars”)
Purpose: Awarded to students majoring in Exercise Science who are committed to excellence in fitness and exercise.
Criteria: Full time SRU student, a minimum of 3.25 QPA, has been accepted into the Exercise Science major and demonstrates financial need. Continued enrollment in the Exercise Science degree program is required. The award may be renewed for a maximum of three years beyond the initial award. This award is given during the spring semester and the recipient will be invited to the Spring Awards Luncheon.

Gary S. Pechar Freshman/Sophomore Incentive Award
Purpose: Awarded to any declared Exercise Science major who is in good academic standing to promote and encourage early participation in the profession. Suggested use of award may include, but are not limited to: defraying book costs, attending regional and state conferences, purchasing Exercise Science attire and membership in the Exercise Science Society.
Criteria: Full time SRU student, declaration of Exercise Science as a major, and good academic standing (2.75 minimum). Student will be selected by an Exercise Science faculty/advisor based on class participation, involvement in the major and potential as an active professional. This award is given at the end of the Fall semester and the recipient will be invited to the Spring Awards Luncheon.

Coen Family Foundation
Criteria: Sophomores/Juniors in the College of Health, Environment, and Science. GPA of 3.3 or higher.

Leadership in Science
Criteria: Students with sophomore or junior standing and pursuing a degree in mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics, geography and the environment, or psychology.
