Dr. Markéta Schüblová returned back to the Slippery Rock University as an Athletic Training Education Faculty member in July 2006. She serves as a medical coordinator for SRU athletics, provides healthcare coverage to various sports, and is teaching and advising Athletic Training and Exercise Science students.
Dr. Schüblová, native of the Czech Republic is a former SRU undergraduate student. She completed her BS in Athletic Training and Exercise Science in 2003 and continued her education at Ohio University receiving MS in Recreation and Sports Sciences with concentration in Athletic Training in 2004 and PhD in Teachers Education with concentration in Curriculum and Instruction with a cognate area in Athletic Training.
As a graduate student at OU Dr. Schüblová taught undergraduate athletic training classes and served as a head athletic trainer at local high school and 3 seasons with OU hockey team.
Dr. Schüblová is currently completing a research project investigating thermoregulation in men's soccer player in hot enviroments.
Dr. Schüblová enjoys spending time outdoors skiing and biking.
