Mr. Adam Annaccone received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Duquesne University, graduating in 2004, and earned a Master’s degree in Education from Clarion in 2006. While at Clarion, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer, assisting with the football, wrestling and soccer programs. After graduation, he began his career at Dartmouth College, assisting with football and was head athletic trainer for Women’s Basketball.
In 2007, Mr. Annaccone moved back to Pennsylvania where he spent three years at Clarion University of PA working primarily with the football and wrestling teams; however also played an essential part in providing healthcare to all of the student-athletes. While at Clarion, he also worked with the men’s varsity and jayvee lacrosse programs at Quaker Valley High School in Leetsdale, Pa and the Clarion County YMCA to provide Performance Enhancement programs to various high school athletic programs.
Following Clarion, Mr. Annaccone spent two years at California University of Pennsylvania as an Instructor/Athletic Trainer in the Department of Health Science. He taught several classes in the Undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program and served as the athletic trainer for the women's volleyball team. He was also actively involved in several department and university committees.
Annaccone is entering his first year at Slippery Rock University as an Instructor in the Department of Exercise and Rehabilitative Science and will provide medical care for the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Track and Field, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Women’s Tennis teams.
Certified Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification, a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Mr. Annaccone is active in National, Regional and State athletic training organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors for the NATA Political Action Committee as District 2 Director and is committed to the continual advancement of the profession of athletic training.
Mr. Annaccone is currently working on his doctoral degree in Administration and Leadership Studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
A native of Huntington, NY, Annaccone resides in Mars, PA with his wife Amelia and their golden retriever, Kaylie.
