The Market Garden is an "organically-managed" mini farm, roughly one acre in size. It is run by Slippery Rock University students. No synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or non-organic fertilizers are used in the growing of the produce. Instead, organic farming practices are used, including: crop rotation, natural pest deterrents, compost, and organic fertilizers. Produce grown in the garden is sold from May thru October at the Slippery Rock Farmers' Market.
