Peggy Shipley:

  • Accepted invitation for Podium presentation for PSU/Sigma Research day on April 5, 2014.  My presentation is entitled: “A life within a life:” One woman’s story of being a caregiver for her husband who has ALS.
  • On February 12th, 2014 guest lectured for a Death and Dying Class at Penn State University where I spoke about my dissertation research on ALS family caregiving.
  • On February 17th, 2014 was an abstract reviewer for the SRU 2014 Symposium for student research, scholarship and creative achievement.
  • On January 20th, 2014 accepted invitation to be the Keynote Speaker at the Cleveland Clinic Geriatric Conference: Your Future is Now on November 7, 2014.
  • On January 15th, 2014 I was appointed as a mentor to a senior nursing student at Penn State University. This appointment came as a result of me being a Board member on the Beta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
  • On May 26, 2014, I was a podium presenter in Kyota, Japan for the 35th International Association for Human Caring Conference. The title of my presentation was Life Patterns of Family Caregivers of Patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
