2011-2012 Award Winners

Student Scholar Award: Kimberly Buxton

The Student Scholar Award goes to a psychology major who maintains an exceptionally high GPA throughout a significant portion of the core Psychology curriculum and demonstrates excellence in all aspects of academic life.

Service and Leadership Award: Desiree Schaffner

The Service and Leadership Award was designed to honor psychology majors who show outstanding leadership in student organizations and/or other university or community settings. 

Student Research Award: Michelle Mullins

The Student Research Award was designed to honor psychology majors who go above and beyond the department’s research expectations, by becoming actively involved in research with faculty in the department. 

Student Psyche Award: Rhonda Jewart and Christopher Ungarean

The Student Psyche Award was developed to honor students who particularly embody the essence of the word psyche, which can be defined as soul, self, mind.  Recipients are those who go above and beyond expectations in the classroom.

Scholar Athlete Award:  No Award Given

The Student Athlete Award was developed to honor students who excel in both academics and athletics.
