SPOTLIGHT

Fiber Art Studio is currently in a temporary location AFB building in Kiester Road. In fall 2012 Studio will relocate to a new facility in Patterson Hall.

During a semester students explore the creative, technical, conceptual and multi-dimensional aspects of fiber art. Students work with variety of flexible materials such as: yarn, thread, wool, wire, paper and more. They learn techniques of felting, weaving, silk painting, dyeing, papermaking, surface design and more. Projects include functional and non-functional pieces and wearable and non-wearable pieces. The format of the course includes lectures, demonstrations, critiques and discussions between professor and students.
