Andrew Hasenpflug has been the musician/accompanist for the Dance Department since 2006.  He comes to SRU from Columbia College in Chicago, Ill.   He received his BFA from SUNY Purchase and his MM from the University of Cincinnati College of Conservatory of Music.  Andrew has been accompanying and composing for dance since 1989.  He has accompanied master classes by many artists including Bill T. Jones, Joe Goode, members of the Merce Cunningham and Bebe Miller Dance Companies, Reggie Wilson, Sarah Shelton Mann, and Ballet Boyz. His dance composition credits include LabCo, Dance Alloy, the Seldoms, Zephyr Dance, Helander and Company, and Chasala Dance Company. At SRU, Andrew accompanies both modern and ballet, composes and engineers audio for the dance department, teaches the music for dance course, advises and assists students with music and audio, and supervises student accompanists. He also currently sits on the faculty of the American Dance Festival, and holds the appointment of visiting professor at Henan Normal University in XinXiang, China.
