The Department of Dance is committed to bringing nationally and internationally recognized artists to campus every year to teach and set choreography on students

Faculty member Nora Ambrosio received a 2010-2011 National Endowment for the Arts American Masterpiece grant that allowed for a collaboration with internationally known choreographer Doug Varone.  Dance students learned Varone's OF THE EARTH FAR BELOW, restaged by dancer Natalie Desch.  In 2009, Desch staged Varone's masterwork TOMORROW, with live music performed by music department faculty members.
