Emily Kennard
, Dance Major


Emily Kennard, a senior Dance major at SRU, talks about how her professors have inspired her in so many different ways. She is interested in the field of dance technology. Emily is involved in several organizations including Dance Express, the Rock Dance Company, and many others. She talks about her future plans of pursuing a career in NYC in dance technology!


Natalie Osborne
, Dance Major


Natalie Osborne, a senior dance major, talks about her choice to move from Cleveland, Ohio to be a dance major at SRU. She believes that SRU was the perfect fit for her because of the well rounded program that has prepared her for every aspect of the dance field. Natalie also talks about her department chairperson, Ursula Payne, and her dedication to ensuring her students have the best opportunities to further their careers in dance. Natalie has been able to participate in conferences and to travel to Chicago to participate in summer training camps with the help of SRU Scholarships.

Sonja Gable, Dance Major

Sonja Gable, a Senior Dance major, talks about the close knit group that is the dance department and all the opportunities that come with being a part of it. The department chair, Usula Payne, is especially dedicated and frequently brings in guest speakers and teachers to introduce her students to the many different types of dance and avenues within the field. Sonja also speaks about participating in dance conferences where the reputation of the SRU dance department is held in high esteem because of the highly skilled dancers that come out of the program.
