Students who love literature in all its dimensions – its history, analysis, and significance – will find an excellent fit with the literature major offered by the English department. You will read British, American, and world literature extensively and be able to display a working familiarity with authors, historical periods, cultures, and genres. Further, you will acquire experience analyzing and researching famous works of writing as well as a better understanding of the writing process.
