 B.A. in History

History is a discipline that presents a record of significant events in every area of human activity. It includes the study of political, social, economic, intellectual and artistic developments. History is concerned with analyzing causes and evaluating the effects of ideas as well as events.

A study of history does not develop just a knowledge of the past; it aids humankind in understanding contemporary problems and in planning for the future. The skills involved in historical scholarship prepare students to participate more effectively in society. A proper perspective of our own western heritage and the heritage of other cultures results from a study of history.
