Andy Farkas is a wood engraver
and book artist from Asheville, North Carolina. His work is exhibited
internationally in numerous galleries, including the Smithsonian Institution.
Farkas also writes the accompanying text for his 8 books. He recently traveled
to Tokyo, Japan to speak on developing creative potential. On Monday, April 20,
Farkas will present a reading at Slippery Rock Area Parks and Recreation in the
morning, perform an art demonstration in Art Building I from 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM,
and give an artist lecture at 5:00 PM at the University Union (followed by the
opening reception of the MGAS art exhibit at 6:00 PM). Events are free and open
to the public.
