The SRU Philosophy Department currently offers three major tracks and two minors.
The BA in Philosophy is a 33-credit first major designed to give students a solid background in Western Philosophy and the fields of ethics and logic.
The BA in Applied Philosophy is a 36-credit major designed for students interested in pursuing a career in the field of non-profit management or philanthropic leadership.
The Career-Related Philosophy Second Major is a 30-credit second major which allows students to design a program of philosophy courses to complement the their first major and specific career objectives.
The Philosophy Minor requires 18 hours in philosophy, 9 of which must be at the 300 level.
The Ethics Minor requires 18 hours in philosophy, 9 of which must be at the 300 level.
