Position: Assistant Professor
Education: Bachelor of science in political science from Clemson University. Enrolled in the doctor of political science program at the University of Pittsburgh. Dissertation title: "A policy driven theory of elite opinion leading: The influence of pro-gay policy on favorable judgments of the gay community."
Experience: Served as an instructor in a number of political science courses at the University of Pittsburgh, including "American Constitutional Law," "American Political Process," "Religion and Politics" and has served as a teaching assistant and department mentor. Was editorial assistant and reviewer for "Political Behavior."
Conversation starter: Received the APSA Travel Grant and the SPSA Prestage-Cook Award. Is a member of the American Political Science Association (and its religion and politics, and state politics and policy section), Southern Political Science association, and the Midwest Political Science Association.
