Dr. Adelle Williams earned her Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. She later earned an MBA from Robert Morris College.

Areas of research interests include: Gerontology, Cultural Diversity, Health and Mental -Health, and Administration.
Dr. Williams held positions in the private sector as a Clinician, Clinical Supervisor, Admissions Coordinator, and Research Program Coordinator within the Geriatrics Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurology Module of Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. She later served as a consultant and Research Program Director at the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh within their Geriatrics division.
Current positions within the department include Professor, Gerontology Coordinator of the graduate specialization in Aging within the Community Counseling division and Coordinator of the gerontology minor and certificate program at the undergraduate level.
Prior university experience include: Assistant to the Dean for the College of Health, Environment and Science and Director of the Health Services Administration Program.
