 Dr. Randy Nichols, Department Chair 



Biography: Dr. Randy Nichols is presently in his 19th year at Slippery Rock University adn fourth year as department chairperson. He received his B.S. and M.Ed. from Slippery Rock University, and recieved his Doctorate of Education from West Virginia University. Randy previously worked for six years at Penn State University as administrator, faculty and coach. His areas of interest include physical activity, wellness and fitness. Dr. Nichols’ hobbies include running, cycling and other outdoor activities. He lives in New Castle, PA with his wife Mindy, who is a public school physical and health education teacher, and two daughters – Miranda and Marly.
