 Rock Roll & Stroll 5K Race 

 

SPOTLIGHT

The Rock, Roll, & Stroll 5k Race is offered on Slippery Rock University's campus. Proceeds from this race will go to Lauren’s Work. Lauren’s Work is a non-profit organization comprised of a team of young adults with developmental disabilities, along with volunteers who give back to others in need in their community.

Their mission is to provide young adults with volunteer opportunities to enhance their work-related, social, and self-advocacy skills to prepare them for their future. Lauren's Work supports the community through sponsorships, donation drives, and partnerships.

Individuals of all ages, with or without disabilities are invited to participate. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age group, the top male and female wheelchair finishers, as well as the top male and female overall finishers. Complementary refreshments will be offered at the finish line.

The 2011 race will be held on Sunday, April 10th. Registration begins at 8:00, and the race begins at 9:00 at the Morrow Field House Grasstex. On the campus map, Morrow Field House is #28.

Costs: $10 pre-registration (includes t-shirt) $15 day of registration (includes t-shirt while supplies last)
