 Meet Dr. Dallas Jackson

Education

Dr. Dallas Jackson obtained his BS in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas, Denton.  He obtained his MS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Adapted Physical Education from Texas Woman’s University, Denton.  He completed his PhD in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Adapted Physical Activity from Texas Woman’s University, Denton.

Dr. Jackson’s teaching interests include pedagogy in Adapted Physical Education and Adapted Physical Activity.

Research Interests/Program Interests

As a member of the American Association for Physical Activity and Recreation (AAPAR), Mr. Jackson will serve as the Adapted Physical Activity Council (APAC) member-at-large for a two year term ending in 2012. His research interests include physical activity and performance of post-adjudicated youth.

Dr. Jackson has several publications and has presented at state, national, and international conferences.

Dr. Jackson and his wife Marisa have recently welcomed a beautiful new addition to their family, their daughter Phoenix.
