About APA Internships

The MS in Adapted Physical Activity Program requires extensive practical experiences for its students to work one-on-one and in small groups directly with individuals with disabilities. Settings for the practical experiences may include gymnasiums, public schools, fitness centers, recreation facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, equestrian centers, aquatic centers, and sport training/competitions. Depending on your undergraduate major, some may be more appropriate for you than others (for example, if you are a physical education major, you may want to do an internship in a school). Just because an internship is listed below, that does not mean that the site will be approved.
