Dr. Richael Barger-Anderson is a faculty member of the Special Education Department at Slippery Rock University. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Clarion University in 1994. She was a dual major in special and elementary education. A Master’s of Degree was conferred in 1997 from Clarion University in the area of special education. In 2002, completion of a doctorate in education was earned in the area of curriculum and instruction from Indiana University. Prior to her appointment at Slippery Rock University, she taught learning support at the Moniteau and Union School Districts. She also served as an adjunct professor at Butler Community College and Mount Aloysius College. Her research interests include literacy, co-teaching, and inclusion. She has published and presented numerous papers in these areas at the regional, state, national, and international levels.
