All classes (except internships) are web-based. There are no on-campus classes. Therefore, there is no housing or meal plan option.
Students will be notified via email (@sru.edu) if their course is cancelled for insufficient enrollment, and will be issued a refund (or the payment may be applied to the spring 2015 semester bill).
The final drop date for a 100% refund of Winter Session tuition will be December 18, 2014. Students who have not officially withdrawn by that date should follow the refund schedule below.*
The total cost (tuition and fees) of a 3.0 semester hour undergraduate, web-based course is $991.20 for a PA resident; $1,036.20 for a non-PA resident; and total cost for tuition and fees for a 3.0 semester hour graduate web-based course is $1,638.30 for a PA resident; $1,705.35 for a non-PA resident. Book cost is extra. Visit Distance Education Tuition for more information on tuition and fees. Winter term internships and practicums will be billed at the appropriate tuition rate for non-web based courses. Click here for costs.
The final day to withdraw from a course with a grade of "W" is January 5. To withdraw, students must email their instructor who in turn will email the Academic Records office.
Grades will be due at noon January 15 so academic status can be determined before the start of spring classes on January 20.
Students will be limited to no more than 7 credits unless an Excess Hour Form is approved by the student's advisor, chairperson and dean.
Students finishing all degree requirements at the end of Winter Session will graduate in January, and may walk through the December ceremony if they wish.
Information reguarding the Winter Session will be provided through the SRU assigned email account. Students who do not have an SRU email account will receive information from the Academic Records Office. It is the student's responsibility to actively check this email account for important information related to Winter Session and any other SRU academic session. Failure to check this email account is not an excuse for a student not to have received information.
Because the University will be closed from December 25, 2014 through January 1, 2015, no on-campus student services or administrative support will be available during this timeframe.
