Please note that information identified as being available in the university's catalogs can be accessed via the web through the Office of Academic Records and Summer School's website. Athletic Program Participation Rates and Financial Support Data (EADA)

The information required by the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA), is available through SRU's website.  This information discloses the most recent data on the participation rates and financing of men's and women's sports in intercollegiate athletic programs. Completion/Graduation Rates

In accordance with the Student's Right to Know Act, schools must report the completion/graduation rates of their full-time, first-time undergraduates after six years of enrollment. Completion/Graduation Rates of Students Receiving Athletically Related Aid

In accordance with the Student Right to Know Act, Schools must report the completion/graduation rates of their full-time, first-time undergraduates who have received athletically-related aid after six years of enrollment. The Office of Intercollegiate Athletics provides this information directly to student-athletes, their parents, and counselors prior to the student accepting any athletically related aid.  These rates are also available through the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics (724) 738-2021 and through the Office of Institutional Research (724) 738-2099. Distance Education State Authorization

To comply with existing state regulation, all universities offering distance education courses in states other than their own must receive authorization from those states. Slippery Rock University, in conjunction with other PASSHE institutions, is developing a strategy to apply for necessary state authorizations. For more information on DE State Authorization please visit the Distance Education website.

Sexual Assault Policy and Procedures  - Student's Rights

Slippery Rock University recognizes that sexual assault and sex offenses, including rape, sexual battery, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and any other unwanted sexual contact causes enormous pain to the victim and those close to them. Students’ Rights Under FERPA 

A student's rights with respect to their educational records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).  The FERPA policy and a description of “directory information” can be found in the university catalog under "Records Privacy Policy", and in each semester's/term's Master Class Schedule.

Financial Assistance Available to Students at SRU

Placement - Information About Placement and Employment of SRU Graduates

Slippery Rock University's annual reports document the progress of SRU graduates related to employment. Access to the current and previous reports are available at the Office of Career Education & Development at 724-738-2028.

Refund Policy and Requiremeents for Returning Title IV Aid

Students who withdraw from the university may be entitled to a refund of charges.  Also, recipients of federal financial aid who withdraw from the university may be required to have a portion of their aid returned to the federal financial aid programs. The Refund Policy and requirements for returning Federal (Title IV) funds can be viewed on the Office of Student Accounts web site. They can be reached by phone at (724) 738-2088

Retention Rate

First year to second year retention rate at SRU.

Clery Act Annual Security Report and Fire Safety Report

Slippery Rock University's Annual Security Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings, or property owned or controlled by Slippery Rock University; and, on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The fire safety report provides information about related policies, procedures, and fire related statistics. Enrolling in Study Abroad Programs

Information on SRU's Study Abroad programs may be found on the Global Engagement Website. The Global Engagement Office is located in Carruth Rizza Hall, room 114 and their phone number is (724) 738-2057.

Transfer Credit Policies and Articulation Agreements with SRU

Information about SRU's transfer credit policies and course equilency tables for course work taken at other schools is avaliable through the transfer admissions office or by calling 724-738-2015.

Requirements and Procedures for Withdrawing from the University

Students withdrawing from the university should contact the Office of Retention Services (724) 738-2011. Procedures for withdrawing from the university include:

  • Once the decision has been made to withdraw from the university, the student must secure a withdrawal form.   These forms are located throughout campus as well as in the Office of Academic Records and the Office of Retention Services or at the following links.
  • Withdrawal Form (for all students)
  • The student is to fill out section one of the form.
  • Section two will indicate with whom the student needs to meet to conclude the process.
  • Once the student has been interviewed the process of withdrawal is complete.
