(Note, students who are selected for verification cannot receive their official award letter until they have completed the verification process.
The award letter mailing also includes a worksheet title Worksheet to Estimate Out-of-Pocket Expenses. Families can use this brochure to help estimate any out-of-pocket expenses that may be required.
Parents apply for a Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) if they wish to borrow a parent loan to assist with any college expenses that are not already covered by other forms of student financial aid. If a parent is denied the PLUS Loan, the student may be entitled to borrow additional Stafford Loan funds and should contact the SRU Financial Aid Office for guidance. |

Please note that no loan funds can be received by the student unless the student completes both the loan counseling and the Master Promissory Note.
Students notify the SRU Financial Aid Office of any scholarships or grants they are receiving from outside sources (from high schools, civic or religious organizations, OVR or others). Families with questions about Pennsylvania's TAP program should contact the SRU Office of Student Accounts (a link to their office is listed below). |
