Beta Beta Beta Alumni Scholarship

Criteria:

Available to all upperclass biology majors. Preference will be given to an individual who has provided service to the department, typically through Beta Beta Beta.

up to $1000

Achievement in Biology Scholarships

Criteria:

Available to all current undergraduate biology majors. One or more scholarships is awarded each year.

Amount:

$500-$1000

Lynne Ernes Women in Science Scholarship

Criteria:

Current undergraduate student majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, or Physics student.  Preference will be given to female applicants.  Minimum 3.25 QPA.

The John P Phillips Scholarship

Criteria:

Available to all upperclass biology majors.

Combine Pre-Pharmacy Scholarship

Criteria:

 SRU Undergraduate Biology or Chemistry student enrolled in the 2+3 LECOM Pre-pharmacy Program at the end of their freshman year.  Student must demonstrate financial need.

Frank A. Pugliese "Rock" Scholarship

Criteria:

Must be a current junior with a minimum GPA of 2.75 who exhibits a strong work ethic and has provided service to the department as a lab assistant, biology tutor, or through Beta Beta Beta, the biology honorary. An essay describing how his/her experiences as an SRU Biology major have enriched his/her life is required.

William A. Ralston Scholarship

Criteria:

Available to all undergraduate biology majors.

Criteria:

Available to current biology major undergraduate interested in teaching

Sophomore Biology Honors Scholarship

Criteria:

Enrolled as an active biology major with 25-40 semester hours completed at SRU and must be enrolled as a B.A or B.S biology major for the following fall semester. Must have completed Principles of Biology, and Botany or Zoology or Genetics and General Chemistry I & II along with their respective labs Minimum GPA of 3.5 required. Scholarships automatically awarded to the top two students based on cumulative GPA at the conclusion of the freshman year. (No application necessary)

Genevieve M. Tvrdik Scholarship

Criteria:

Available to a current sophomore or junior biology major with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This is a renewable scholarship with the maintenance of a minimum 3.0 GPA as a biology major for the remaining years of a four-year program. Preference is given to students with interest in ecology or behavior.

A.P. Vincent Scholarship

Criteria:

Awarded to a current junior biology major with a minimum QPA of 3.0
