Boccio Family Scholarship

Criteria:

Second-semester sophomore, junior, or senior physical education major with a minimum 3.0 GPA and who demonstrates financial need. First preference to a woman, participating in intercollegiate athletics.

Elmer B. Cottrell Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:

Junior or Senior Physical Education major who demonstrate financial need. Students should demonstrate good citizenship or leadership capabilities and be in good academic standing.  This scholarship is renewable.

Colette S. Garrison Scholarship

Criteria:

Junior or Senior Physical Education major with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Full time student maintaining traditional academic progress. First preference to women. Not automatically renewable but student may reapply

Criteria:

Physical Education major who demonstrates  leadership and community service excellence. First preference to women.

Joanne McKeag Scholarship

Criteria:

Students double majoring in dance and physical education or education with a dance minor. Available to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors based on a minimum 3.0 GPA in dance and 2.7 overall, and excellence in all areas of the dance and education program. No application is necessary.

Bob and Betty Smiley Scholarship

Criteria:

Junior-level physical education major who has achieved a minimum 3.25 GPA. Financial need showing special or unusual circumstances is also a consideration. This scholarship is renewable if GPA is maintained.

Grace H. "Arky" Vaughan Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:

Full time students majoring in physical education with a combination of athletic ability or appreciation of athletics, academic achievement and financial need, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Preference given to students who graduated from Robert E. Lee high school in VA.  Community service also considered. Preference to women who have completed one full academic year.  This scholarship is renewable.

Ruth Vaughan Coon Scholarship

Criteria:

Students majoring in physical education who have completed at least one full academic year at SRU with a combination of athletic ability or appreciation of athletics, academic achievement and financial need. Community service is also a consideration.  Minimum GPA of 3.0. First preference to freshmen students graduated from a Beaver County secondary school and to women. Renewable through completion of degree for students maintaining a 3.0 GPA at SRU.

Grace H. "Arky" Vaughan/Ruth Vaughan Coon Scholarship

Criteria:

Students majoring in physical education, have completed one full academic year, with a combination of athletic ability or appreciation of athletics, academic achievement and financial need. Community service is also a consideration. First preference to students who graduated from a Pennsylvania secondary school and to women. Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Carolyn Williams Physical Education Scholarship

Criteria:

Junior-level physical education major, upon completion of sophomore year, where first preferences are to females and out of state students who also participate in aquatics and demonstrate financial need.  Minimum 3.2 GPA. Students must also participate in extracurricular activities and be committed to community service and social justice.  This scholarship is renewable.
