Carlton F. Dresden Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:

Junior or senior Chemistry (Biochemistry concentration) with a 2.5 QPA.

Amount:

up to $1,000

Oscar Gawron Scholarship

Criteria:

Must be a Chemistry major. Student has to have a minimum QPA of 2.5  in major and overall. Financial need may be considered.

Joseph S. and Eva Puntureri Memorial Science Scholarship

Criteria:

Junior or senior science, environmental science, safety management, math or computer science major with a minimum QPA of 3.25 who demonstrates financial need. Evidence of intellectual growth. Potential for success in his or her field. Must be in financial need. Applicant must complete a one to two page statement on the topic "How my university education will be beneficial in pursuing my career".  Three recent letters of recommendation, at least two of which must be from: 1. A faculty member from the applicant's major department. 2. A faculty member from another department in the sciences, mathematics, computer science or environmental health and safety in which the student has taken courses.

Rhoda E. Taylor Scholarship

Criteria:

Available for second semester freshman or later. Must be a Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Geology major.  Preference given to a non-traditional, full time female student who demonstrates financial need. Submit a letter of application, a two page personal statement describing natural sciences in preparation of a career, and two letters of recommendation to Dr. Steglich.

A.P. Vincent Science Scholarship

Criteria:

Available for current sophomores or juniors. Must be a Biology, Chemistry, or Physics major. Biology majors should apply to the Biology Scholarship Committee. Chemistry and Physics majors should apply to the Chemistry Scholarship Committee.

Amount:

up to $1000/yr - 2 awards each year

Combine Family Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:

Student is an undergraduate Biology or Chemistry major enrooled in the 2 +3 LECOM Pre-pharmacy Program.  Student must remain eligible continue for the award made at the end of freshman year.  Financial need is considered.  Student must have a reference letter from a faculty member and fill out an application with the department.  

Amount:

up to $500
