First Year Studies (FYRST)

 

The primary goal of FYRST is to facilitate students’ transition from high school or work to the University. FYRST is the home of all new freshmen which is organized within the division of Enrollment Services.

Many academic support services are coordinated and delivered to new students by FYRST. Specifically: Orientation, Academic Services, Academic Advisement Center, Exploratory ProgramLearning Community Clusters, FYRST Seminar, Tutorial Center, College Success Workshops and Resources, Student Support Services Program, Basic Math Course Work, Services for Students with Disabilities, and Retention Services are all housed within FYRST.
