Autism Program (M.Ed.)
The Masters Degree in Special Education with an Emphasis on Autism is an Advanced Masters Degree. It is available only to interested students with an existing undergraduate degree in Special Education or professionals working in human services agencies that support children and adults with Autism (ex. Behavior Specialist, Wraparoud, etc). The program has been developed as a response to the increasing need for highly trained teachers and professionals to work with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders in public and private schools and outside agencies. The program curriculum is highly specialized with courses that address the social and communication needs for children with Autism, an Applied Behavior Analysis course to prepare teachers for academic instruction, and curriculum and program needs for children with ASD. This M.Ed. program can be completed in one year and is entirely online.

Autism Endorsement Program
The Autism Endorsement Program is recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is available to interested students with an existing undergraduate degree in education or professionals working in human services agencies that support children and adults with Autism.

Master Teacher Program (M. Ed.)
These online special education programs are designed to be fifth year studies beyond the undergraduate preparation in special education. They provide a continuation of studies initiated during undergraduate preparation, and permit students already holding a certificate in Special Education to develop state-of-the-art competencies in the field.

School Supervision Program (M. Ed.)
The online School Supervision Program focuses on preparing students who want to become supervisors of special education. Students examine best practices literature regarding the professional knowledge, skills, and disposition required of leaders in education. They will inquire into major contemporary theories and practices of leadership for organizing educational communities, designing management processes and procedures, and forming collaborative relationships within the community. This program is presented as a collaborative effort between the Department of Special Education, and the Department of Secondary Education/Foundations of Education. Faculty are committed to implementing a professional model for the preparation of educational leaders that complies with current curriculum guidelines proposed by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. In order to be eligible for Pennsylvania certification in School Supervision, candidates must complete an approved program and have at least five year's teaching experience in special education.

Supervision, Post- Masters Certification
The online Post Master's School Supervision Program is designed for students who already have a masters degree in Special Education and want to become certified Special Education Supervisors. In order to be eligible for Pennsylvania certification in School Supervision, candidates must complete an approved program and have at least five year's teaching experience in special education.
