Orientation For Your Family

Families play a crucial role in the adjustment and success of college students. We encourage you to invite your parents/spouse to attend this program with you. This program has been designed to help families become familiar with Slippery Rock University and the many opportunities and services available for students.  Each student will receive two complimentary lunch tickets for their program guests.  Additional guests may pay at the door.

All offices will be open from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for you to complete any unfinished University business.

Orientation on Desire2Learn (D2L)

If you cannot attend Orientation, we have provided a link below to our online resource.  Here, you will find information regarding how to navigate SRU’s webpage, obtain parking passes and student ID’s, and you will also find important information for commuter students.  However, if you can attend Orientation, this is not an alternative.  The online tool does not cover material from the whole Orientation experience.

Please note, you will need to use your SRU username and password to access Desire2Learn.  Once you have logged in, you will find the Orientation resource under your list of classes on the right hand side of the screen.
