Experience has taught us that the absolute best way to understand how well you fit with a university is to stand on campus, imagine yourself as a student there and strive to understand the personality of that particular school. If you wish to start at SRU as a freshman, campus visits are offered on most weekdays year round, even in the summer. Our daily visit consists of a group presentation with an admissions counselor followed by a walking tour of campus led by a current SRU student. Daily visits begin at 9:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. If you only wish to take the campus tour please call 1-800-929-4778 to make arrangements.

Please allow 2 ½ hours for your visit. You'll be in a small group as you learn more about Slippery Rock and tour campus, and you might even meet a future classmate. You and your family may also talk with a counselor one-on-one before or after the presentation to ask any individual questions you might have.
If you are requesting a special appointment during your visit to SRU with a faculty member or athletic coach please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 1-800-929-4778 or asktherock@sru.edu at least 7 days prior to your scheduled visit. An admission counselor will assist you in arranging your request.

If you would like to request a special accommodation for your tour, for example the use of a wheelchair, please let us know prior to your visit so that we may prepare. (Please understand, our student tour guides are not available to assist persons in wheelchairs with moving through the campus tour. If assistance is needed, we recommend that a family member or friend be available for support).
