Dual Enrollment is only available to students who attend the following high schools: Slippery Rock Area, Neshannock, and New Castle. Students who attend high school other than the three mentioned prior and also wish to take college courses while in high school should review the information for the Fast Track Program.
The student must be a junior or senior in high school (attending one of the high schools mentioned above). Students must have a grade point average of a 3.0. And, students must have a recommendation from their high school principal or guidance counselor.
In order to continue to take classes as part of Dual Enrollment, students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and maintain a minimum grade of a C in each Dual Enrollment course in which the student is enrolled. The courses are non-remedial. The number of courses a student is permitted to take as part of Dual Enrollment is unlimited.
