REQUIREMENTS: Honors Program membership requirements include a minimum QPA each semester; 21 credits of honors coursework or options to graduate with honors program distinction; minimum extracurricular, community service, and leadership requirements each semester; and attendance at all Honors Program meetings each semester.

EXECUTIVE BOARD: The Executive Board decides on guest speakers, mediates discussion on program rules, assists the Honors Program office, helps run meetings, solicits suggestions for program improvements, organizes Pizza with the Profs, and chairs many of the events and activities of the Program.

UNITS: The unit system is designed to advocate the commitment of Honors Program students to scholarship, service, cultural/curricular involvement, and leadership in the Slippery Rock community. 

 

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS: The Honors Program office is here to help you successfully complete the Program. Below are links to information and forms you will need during your participation in the Honors Program.  The online forms can be submitted electronically to the Honors Program office.  The pdf fillable forms can be filled out and printed by the student.

A listing of the Honors courses offered for designated semester and instructions for sign-up process.
HP Units Verification Form
(online form)
Used to record units completed by HP students.
Write-Up Submission Form
(online form)
Used to submit write-ups to the Honors Program graduate assistant.

Used to notify HP office if a student is exempt from submitting units during a semester (for example, student teaching, internship, fifth-year student, etc.)

Used to notify HP office that a student will be graduating at the end of a semester.
Contract Proposal Form

Used when a student is going to contract a non-Honors course to earn Honors credit. Requires approval of the Honors Program Director.
Research Project Proposal Form

Used when a student is going to conduct research to earn Honors credit.  Requires approval of the Honors Program Director.

HOPs Verification Form

Used to notify HP office of HOPs (Honors Options Points) earned by students.  Proof of HOPs earned and Honors Program Director approval required.
